In Memoriam

We record here the cherished people from our Many Rooms community who have passed on. May they rest in peace.

Ingrid (15 September 1950 – 28 April 2014)

Ingrid at The Kitchen

Ingrid was born in Germany, moving to Australian and living in the Essendon / Travancore area since about 1966.

A keen advocate for The Kitchen program in the North Melbourne area, Ingrid was a regular attendee almost since the beginning. Ingrid was much loved by both participants and volunteers for her vibrant personality, humour, friendship and very caring nature.

Ingrid was an avid singer belonging to the Wingate Ave Singers and a member of the Choir of hope and Inspiration. The most enthusiastic member of the impromptu formation of a Many Rooms choir at Christmas parties and on other occasions, her love of singing blessed all around her.

Greatly missed by all at Many Rooms.

Dorothy (’Dot’) [- d. May 2011]

We were saddened to hear that Dorothy, a regular attender at The Kitchen, passed away. She is fondly remembered by all the participants and volunteers as a person who was spirited, interested in others, and not afraid to speak her mind. We will remember her warmth and gratitude toward the volunteer staff. Her presence will be missed by all who come along each Saturday.
